Windsor Davies (28 August 1930 – 17 January 2019) was a British actor with a long and distinguished acting career on British television, on many occasions playing military or policeman roles. He is perhaps best known as "Battery Sergeant-Major 'Shut Up' Williams" in the long running B.B.C. comedy "It Ain't Half Hot, Mum" between 1974 and 1981.
