In Le cheval pâle, the French Télévisions film adaptation of Agatha Christie's The Pale Horse, for the Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie TV series, Vivane is the parallel of Lou Ellis in the original story.
At the beginning of the episode, Viviane and some other friends are having a party in a room next door to Alice. Francine Marchal comes over to Alice's apartment for a break and they chat for a while, then Viviane bursts in and attacks Francine, accusing her of sleeping with "Alain". The theme of hair being torn out during this fight is not portrayed in this adaptation.
