In the novel The Murder on the Links, Villa Marguerite is the home of Madame Daubreuil and her daughter Marthe in Merlinville-sur-Mer. It is just down the road from a neighbouring property Villa Geneviève, separated from it by a hedge in some places. Of the two, the Marguerite is the smaller. Hastings observes that it is "tiny and dilapidated" compared to its more imposing neighbour.
There are two Villa Marguerites in the Christie canon, both in France.
