In the novel Murder on the Links, Villa Geneviève is the home of Paul Renauld and his family in Merlinville-sur-Mer. It is located about half a mile outside of town on the sea coast. It is bordered on one side by a set of golf links which, at the time of the events in the book, are still under construction. Nearby is the Villa Marguerite. The Villa Genevieve used to belong to a French Vicomtesse but Paul Renauld bought it over just the previous Spring.
