Torquay Town Hall is a grade II listed municipal building in Torquay which still serves as a main administrative centre for local government in the town. Located at Castle Circus, the building was built from 1906 onwards as a replacement for an older town hall. Shortly after its completion in 1913, the building was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers during World War I. Agatha Christie worked at the hospital as a nurse in the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) in 1914.[1]
