The Toronto Daily Star, today the Toronto Star was founded in 1892 and continues to circulate today as Canada's most popular and widely circulated newspaper. Its Satuday supplement Star Weekly carried many of Agatha Christie's works starting from 1927 up to the 1970s. However the main paper itself also ran serializations of her novels from the 1940s onwards. Whenever a work is released for serialization, several newspapers in Canada would run them over roughly the same time period, but typically, the Toronto Daily Star would be the first and would run the story earlier than the others.
