The Two Ronnies was a long running British sketch comedy television series starring Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. Broadcast on BBC1 from April 10, 1971 to December 25, 1987, it was was one of the most popular programmes of the era, and one of the BBC's flagship shows at the time. To this day, the show is considered a gold standard of British comedy.
Two sketches spoofed Agatha Christie's work, with Barker playing Poirot and Corbett portraying Miss Marple in the second sketch. (Barker had previously played Poirot on stage in the 1950s.)
