The Mallock family lived at Cockington Court, near Torquay in Devon. Major Charles Herbert Mallock (1878-1917) and his wife Margaret (née Bazley-White) (1884-1970) were personal friends of Agatha Christie, who often visited them at Cockington Court. The pair had four children. Christie dedicated books to two of the sons.
