The Lucy family were friends of Agatha Miller. They originally came from Warwickshire, but in 1891 moved to Torquay where they lived at 3 Hesketh Crescent, a fashionable neighbourhood near the seafront. After moving to a few other places, they returned to Torquay again in 1909 and lived at 5 Hesketh Crescent. Agatha visited the Lucy children at Hesketh Crescent near Meadfoot Beach. She also went roller-skating with the Lucys on Princess Pier and for excursions to Dartmoor. Reggie Lucy proposed to Agatha but she turned him down and later married Archie Christie.[1][2]
