In the novel The Secret Adversary, the Laurels is the home of Mrs Edgar Keith. The house is located on Glendower Road, N.7. Tommy and Tuppence go there as part of their plan to interview survivors of the Lusitania looking for one "Rita". The Laurels was the first of a list of seven comprising addresses in London.
The Laurels is described as a dilapidated house standing back from the road with a few grimy bushes "to support the fiction of a front garden".
