“The Development” is a newly built area in St. Mary Mead. It is located on what once was the fields where farmer Giles used to let his cattle graze.
Both Cherry Baker and Heather Badcock lived there with their husbands. In the continuation short story Miss Marple Takes Manhattan, the new hairdresser Mrs Price lives or runs her business there.
