Tate is a non-canonical character created for the 1997 film The Pale Horse. He is a henchman of Lincoln Bradley and appears to have the role of enforcing payments of clients. He is seen the first time in Bradley's office when Mark Easterbrook is making enquiries. Later he is driving a taxi which Florence Tuckerton had booked. Mrs Tuckerton had engaged Bradley's services and had, it seemed, failed to pay up. She attempted to escape from Much Deeping and hide at the Brindle House Hotel in London. She booked a taxi and got in only to find that Tate is driving it. She is later found dead in the River Thames. Tate is portrayed by Martin Kennedy.
