Tape-Measure Murder is the first in of a series of three radio plays covering Miss Marple's Final Cases launched to mark the 125th anniversary of Agatha Christie's birth with June Whitfield returning to reprise her role of Jane Marple which she undertook in the BBC Radio 4 Miss Marple series from 1993 to 2001. Tape-Measure Murder was adapted by Joy Wilkinson and directed by Gemma Jenkins and first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 16 September 2015. It is an adaptation of the Agatha Christie short story of the same name. All three radio plays are available together on audioCD and as audio on Audible and GooglePlay.

According to dramatizer Joy Wilkinson, the three dramatizations in Miss Marple's Final Cases form a story arc intended to Miss Marple's career to a proper closure.

Gossip spreads through St. Mary Mead of a murdered wife and a husband under suspicion and then Miss Marple is called as an alibi.
