In Rendez-vous avec la mort, the French adaptation of Agatha Christie's Appointment with Death for the TV series Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie, Suzanne Berg is the parallel of Ginevra Boynton in the original novel. Suzanne is portrayed by Juliette Pedevilla-Defaÿ. This adaptation is silent on whether the Berg children are Clémence Berg's biological children, step-children or adopted although they are likely to be her own offspring (see article on Philippe Berg).
Like Ginevra in the original, Suzanne is the youngest in the family although here she is significantly younger, being only eleven years of age. Because there is no parallel of Carol Boynton in this adaptation, the conversation about their mother needing to be killed tales place between Suzanne and Louis Berg, the Raymond Boynton parallel. Here Suzanne is the one who speaks and she says that they have to kill their mother and she goes on to tell Louis that she has a plan. This is overheard by Alice Avril and Marlene.
The personality of Suzanne is similar to Ginevra in some ways but not an exact parallel. While Ginevra is showing symptoms of schizophrenia, Suzanne is relative well-balanced. She liked the dog Marcel and also enjoyed danced to music. She does behave rather creepily at times, as when she plays with a toy guillotine.
In this adaptation, Suzanne is the first to discover the dead body of her mother. This involves her in a sideplot where Tricard, from a distance, witnesses Suzanne with the body and handling a blood soaked rock. He takes up the rock with a handkerchief and throws it away. Later the handkerchief is found on him and leads to his arrest for the murder. Tricard remains silent and takes the fall for Suzanne. Laurence surmises that Tricard did so out of empathy for Suzanne because he recalled the time when he was eleven when he also suffered from the overbearing nature of Madame Berg who was his elder sister.
Suzanne also plays another major role in the final solution of the murder. She discovers Alice Avril snooping among the notebooks of Madame Berg. When Alice tells her that she is looking for some clue to the crime, Suzanne offers to help her and they spend hours going through Madame Berg's writings until they find a link to her killer.
