In the novel Towards Zero, Stark Head is a cliff near Saltcreek. To get there from Saltcreek one passed both the Balmoral Court and Gull's Point.
The water below the cliff is deep and the currents are strong. Angus MacWhirter tried to kill himself by throwing himself from the cliff after Mona left him.
