Ordeal by Innocence is a 2012 BBC Radio 4 dramatization based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name. The programme was directed by Mary Peate, with script and adaptation by Joy Wilkinson, and was first broadcast in 3 parts from 4 Jan 2012. Episode 1 - Rosemary[]
21 year old Rosemary dies at her birthday party after drinking from a glass of cyanide-laced champagne. The small group of friends and family who were present struggle to understand - was it suicide, or could one of them possibly have murdered her? An ex-lover, a younger sister who stood to inherit, a jealous husband? It seems almost all the guests had a motive.
Episode 2 - All Souls' Day[]
It's a year since Rosemary died horribly at her 21st birthday party after drinking from a glass of cyanide-laced champagne. Convinced that the coroner's verdict of suicide is wrong, her widower George is hatching a plan to discover the truth...
Episode 3 - Iris[]
Now George Barton has died in exactly the same way as his wife did a year earlier, by drinking cyanide-laced champagne, Colonel Race steps in to investigate. The second death throws the first verdict of suicide into question...
