In the novel The Seven Dials Mystery, The Seven Dials is a nightclub in London in the Seven Dials district at 14 Hunstanton Street. According to Bill Eversleigh it has kept the old atmosphere of the time when the Seven Dials district was an area of slums--an appearance of general squalor, a pervasive smell of fried fish and chips. Bill thinks this is a kind of stunt but the club is handy to go to after a show. Besides the bar- restaurant and dance floor in the cellar, the club also has an upstairs room, guarded by Alfred where high stakes gambling takes place. In the event of a police raid, this gambling room has a secret exit through a secret anteroom which has a hidden staircase allowing patrons to leave the building unobserved.
The club is owned by a Russian named Mr Mosgorovsky. The mysterious group The Seven Dials uses the secret anteroom at the club for their meetings.
