Sergeant Rose is a non-canonical character who was created for the the BBC 1985 adaptation of the novel which formed part of the Miss Marple series. He is with PC White in a patrol car when they spot the car driven by Lance and Pat Fortescue. Following orders, Rose and White follow and maintain surveillance on them.
The part of Rose is played by Charles Pemberton.
