In the authorised Miss Marple continuation short story The Murdering Sort, Sarah Westover is the grand daughter of the wealthy American typcoon Josiah Westover. She is the sister of Harry and the cousin of Diana. Sarah's father Alan Westover is almost destitute and both he and Sarah stand to benefit substantially from the death of Josiah Westover, giving them plausible motives in wanting him dead. Sarah has also been concealing an engagement which also resulted in her secret fiancé being considered a suspect.
