Russell & Thompson

In the novel By the Pricking of My Thumbs, Russell & Thompson is a firm of house agents in Market Basing. Amos and Alice Perry rented their half of Canal House via the firm. Strangely enough, although Tuppence is interested in finding out more about Canal House and goes to Market Basing to call on house agents there, she doesn't go to Russell & Thompson. According to the text, she goes to all four house agents in the town. Three have different names, a fourth is not named, but this cannot be Russell & Thompson either bescause the people there don't don't know about Canal House and seem preoccupied with sales of various farms.
