Agatha Christie Wiki

Robin “Mac” Macartney (1911-1973) was an architect working with Max Mallowan on several of his excavations. He accompanied Mallowan and Christie in their first survey to scout out suitable sites for excavation in the Habur region. He later joined one of the excavation seasons as the resident architect. His shy personality was later recounted by Christie in her 1946 short volume of autobiography Come, Tell Me How You Live. The book is dedicated to him together with a few others.

He also designed the covers to three Agatha Christie novels, and one short story collection.
