Rhodesia is a term used to describe a region in southern Africa. The region is naturally split in two parts by the Zambezi river.[1] The northern part became Northern Rhodesia and was a British protectorate between 1911 and 1964. It corresponds with present day Zambia.[2] Southern Rhodesia was a landlocked self-governing British Crown colony in Southern Africa between 1923 and 1953, corresponding with the present day Zimbabwe.[3]
