Red House (The Clergyman's Daughter/The Red House)

In the short story The Clergyman's Daughter/The Red House, Red House is a house in Stourton-in-the-Marsh. Monica Deane inherited the house from her father's aunt. Although the relative left her almost no money, Monica and her invalid mother Headed to move into the house and convert it into a boarding house to take in paying guests to earn some income. Soon however, strange things began to happen in the house, akin to the activities of a poltergeist.
