In the Mademoiselle Mac Ginty est morte, the France Televisions adaptation of Mrs McGinty's Dead, Régine Molon is a resident on the ground floor of a block of apartments in Lille. All the killings in this adaptation take place in a block of apartments rather than in the village of Broadhinny. She saw Robert Vasseur, the James Bentley parallel character, run out of Huguette Mac Ginty's apartment with blood on his hands. She goes into the apartment and discovers Huguette dead on the floor, her throat having been slashed.

Régine Molon does not really have a parallel in the original novel. She functions as the local gossip and continued to furnish commissaire Laurence with background and updates on what is going on in the apartment block. For example she told him the three families that Huguette Mac Ginty did service for as a cleaning lady. She also told Laurence that shortly before she was killed, Huguette had bought a bottle of ink. In some respects, therefore, Régine Molon may be said to have some of the role of Mrs Sweetiman in the original story.
