Poppy is a non-canonical character who was created for the adaptation of The Manhood of Edward Robinson, the tenth episode of the Thames Television series The Agatha Christie Hour. Identifying her is difficult as names are not used much in the dialogue. She is probably the blonde girl who is at the bar with two friends, Jeremy and Guy, at the Tantalus Hotel. They are probably friends of Lady Noreen Elliot and part of the "burglary for fun" scheme that Noreen had started. It is Noreen's and Jimmy's turn to conduct a burglary in order to win a bet for the prize money. Poppy and her friends are there at the hotel to try to frustrate her to ensure she does not win. Later she announces to the guests at the bar that Agnes Larella has been burgled. Poppy and her two friends then set off in a car in pursuit of Lady Noreen.

Poppy is later seen at the Cafe Paris with the other friends of Noreen. Noreen is dancing there and she must wear the stolen necklace until the clock strikes a certain time in order to win the bet. Poppy and her friends try to get necklace off her neck in order that she doesn't win. This character does not exist in the original story.

The part of Poppy is played by Fiona Hendley.
