Philip Oxley is a non-canonical character created for the 2013 ITV adaptation of Greenshaw's Folly. He is the estranged husband of Louisa Oxley. Philip Oxley is portrayed by Oscar Pearce.
Philip plays a significant role in a sideplot involving Louisa and her son Archie wanting to escape from from him, which explains why Miss Marple took them to Greenshaw's Folly as a place of refuge. Louisa says that she was very young when they married. Philip is a debonair doctor but also a sadist who beat his wife and his son. He is also known to the police for his violent behaviour. In the middle part of the episode, Louisa receives a bouquet of flowers from a mystery sender. She later surmised that this must be from Philip who was signalling that he had found them. Through the course of events in the episode, Philip made two attempts to kidnap Archie. In the second of these attempts, Philip knocked out a police constable Jenkins in order to gain access to the house. In both attempts, Philip is foiled by the gardener Alfred Pollock.
