In Crimes haute couture, the France Televisions adaptation of Third Girl, Paco Gomez was a delivery man who used to work for the Maison Paget fashion house. He was dismissed by Louise Charpentier, the administrator of the firm a few weeks before the events in the episode. There is no real parallel to him in the original novel. Paco Gomez is portrayed by Franckie Defonte.
In one of the opening scenes, Paco Gomez is seen harassing Maison Paget designer Patricia Nollet on the streets. Shortly thereafter, he is found dead with two stab wounds. Patricia also wakes up from a drunken stupor next to his body. She thinks she has killed him and turns herself in to the police. However Patricia cannot remember what happened beyond the fact that he had been harassing her and tried to rape her. Forensic analysis showed that the stab wounds would have required far greater strength than could be delivered by someone like Patricia. Moreover, Édouard Paget, the chief designer of Maison Paget also gives her an alibi. Patricia is thus released.
For a time, suspicion also falls on Narcisse Vermeer, a businessman who owns Maison Paget. He also owns casinos and gambling dens and also has a hand in fixing boxing matches using Gomez as a bookie. Laurence surmises that Gomez might have been blackmailing Vermeer and this motivated Vermeer to eliminate him.
Only at the end of the episode is it revealed that Gomez was merely a pawn in an elaborate scheme by Édouard Paget (the Andrew Restarick parallel) and Gigi, (the Frances Cary parallel) to implicate Patricia in another killing, that of Julie Lemon and to prepare her psychological to believe that she also committed the crime. They had hired Gomez to harass Patricia and then killed him themselves, while simultaneously drugging Patricia to make her vulnerable to the suggestion that she had committed the killing.
According to his identity document, Paco Gomez was born on November 12, 1937 in Madrid.
