In the short story The Million Dollar Bond Robbery, the Olympia is an ocean liner sailing from Liverpool to New York. Philip Ridgeway was conveying a large quantity of Liberty bonds to New York on the Olympia. The bonds disappeared on route. Poirot boarded the Olympia when it returned to Liverpool to question a few stewards.
An important plot twist depends on the Olympia not being as fast as the Gigantic.

In ITV's 1991 adaptation of story, the Olympia is replaced by the Queen Mary making her maiden voayage in a bid to win the Blue Riband. The episode makes extensive use of archival footage of the actual event.
