Nimrud (Syriac: ܢܢܡܪܕ Arabic: النمرود) is an ancient Assyrian city located in present day Iraq. Agatha Christie and Max Mallowan went there in the late 1940s. And Max worked there during several years. During this time the 244 Nimrud Letters were found.
