Murder in Our Midst is an omnibus edition of Agatha Christie works published by Dodd Mead in 1967. The omnibus is available in hardcover only and consists of three novels: The Body in the Library, The Murder at the Vicarage and The Moving Finger. In contrast to the previous Dodd Mead omnibus, Murder International, the novels here are all decidedly local and set in an English village and all, naturally feature Jane Marple.
Blurb on front flap[]
The blurb features reviews of the individual novels in leading American newspapers:
MURDER IN OUR MIDST
Three Complete Novels by Agatha Christie
This generous omnibus volume comprises three of the author's mystery novels, eachwith its separate plot and characters and each set in a small English village. That delightful sharp-eyed spinster Jane Marple, a favorite in books and on the screen, is featured in each novel.
The Body in the Library
"In the upper brackets of excellence. And the character work with Miss Marple and the Bantrys is particularly fetching." (The New York Times)
The Murder at the Vicarage
"Without a doubt this is the best detective since story Agatha Christie has written ROGER ACKROYD." (The Saturday Review)
The Moving Finger
"Gay, witty mystery. The author proves once more that she knows all the answers." (The New Yorker)
