Murder by the Book is a British television fiction drama made by TVS (Television South of the ITV network) which features Agatha Christie as one of its characters. Scripted and directed by Nick Evans, the show was first broadcast over the ITV network on 28 August 1986.[1]


Set in 1975, Author Agatha Christie is being persuaded by her agent to publish Curtain. During the night, Hercule Poirot turns up, aggrieved that he is going to be killed off, and even more aggrieved that Christie had written the manuscript more than 30 years ago when both he and Christie were at the height of their powers.
