In the novel Death on the Nile, Mrs Robson in the widowed mother of Cornelia. She is related to Miss Van Schuyler.

When Miss Van Schuyler announces that she intends to take Cornelia with her on a trip to Europe, Mrs Robson is very grateful. She thinks that Cornelia suffers from not being a social success, and that it makes her feel kind of mortified.
