Mrs Lester was a non-canonical character who was created for the film adaptation of The Lost Mine in Series 3 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot. She was the wife of American stockbroker Charles Lester. She called Poirot to tell him that Lester had taken a taxi to Chinatown and had not returned. She later met Poirot and told him that Lester had been a changed man in recent months, often undergoing drastic mood swings. She then found one of Lester's suits caked in dirt. Inside the jacket pocket, she had found the passport of the murder victim Wu Ling.
Mrs Lester was played by Barbara Barnes. This character does not occur in the the original story.
