In the novel At Bertram's Hotel, Mrs Jameson and her daughters were guests at Bertram's Hotel. Miss Gorringe mentioned them when Chief Inspector Davy asked who among the guests of the hotel might know Canon Pennyfather well. According to Miss Gorringe Mrs Jameson and the Canon came from the same part of England. The context of the conversation suggests that Mrs Jameson was no longer staying at the hotel because in the next paragraph, Miss Gorringe mentions two other guests, General Radley and Miss Marple, who were still staying at the hotel and available to be interviewed.
