In the Miss Marple short story The Tuesday Night Club, Mrs Hargraves is an acquaintance of Jane Marple and likely to be a fellow resident of St. Mary Mead and lived "up at the Mount".
Miss Marple recounted how Mr Hargraves had died and abandoned Mrs Hargraves, leaving all his money to another woman whom he had been having a secret affair with.
