In the novel Hallowe'en Party, Mrs Garlton is one of the adults who were present at the preparation session for the halloween party during which Joyce Reynolds announced that she had once seen a murder in the village. Superintendent Spence compiled a list of the people present for Poirot. Mrs Garlton is labelled as "household help". Since the session was held at "Apple Trees", the household being refered to is most likely that of Rowena Drake at "Apple Trees" itself.
