Mrs Folliott in Agatha Christie's Poirot
In the novel The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Mrs Folliott is one of Ursula Bourne's references. Ursula and Mrs Folliott were actually sisters, members of an impoverished Irish family of nobility. Having been forced into service through poverty, Mrs Folliott married a local man and gave references to her younger sister in order to becom a parlourmaid of Roger Ackroyd. Dr Sheppard visited her and noted that she was very uncomfortable with his questions.
She lived at Marby Grange, Cranchester with her husband Richard.

In the Agatha Christie's Poirot episode adapted from The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Mrs Folliott was portrayed by Elizabeth Kettle. Here it isn't known if she has a husband of not but Poirot refers to her as "Mrs" so it's implied she may be married. Here it is Poirot, and not Dr Sheppard, who visits her to ask about Ursula Bourne and makes the same observation of Sheppard, that she was acting suspiciously when responding to Poirot's questions about Ursula's family.
