In the novel Sleeping Murder, Mrs Findeyson was a woman who had lived at St. Catherines. According to Foster she kept the garden beautifully, and had lived there since before he was born. She died in Egypt.
As she was going to Egypt and probably intended to spend some time there, she rented out St. Catherines furnished to Major Halliday through the real estate firm of "Galbraith & Penderley".
After Mrs Findeyson, St. Catherines was taken over by the Elworthy family.
