Mrs Bondy

In the novel The Hollow, Mrs Bondy was the housekeeper at Ainswick when Edward and Henrietta were children. They recalled her fondly while talking about old times at Ainswick. Mrs Bondy had said that their pet squirrel Cholmondeley-Majoribanks would one day escape up the chimney. The children had been indignant but Mrs Bondy proved to be correct.
