Mr Tremlett was a non-canonical character who was created for the film adaptation of The Dream in Series 1 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot. He was probably a works manager. Earlier in the episode, he took two workmen to see Benedict Farley with a proposal to form a union. They were sitting outside Farley's door and were probably the last to see the company owner alive. They were certain that from the time they last saw Farley (who grunted at them) and when his body was discovered, no one else had entered the room.

Later, Mr Tremlett gave a tour of the works to Poirot and Hastings, providing important information about the pie baking procedures which allowed Poirot to understand how the murder of Benedict Farley had been committed.

Mr Tremlett was played by Christoper Saul. This character does not occur in the the original story. There, two journalists, Mr Adams and Mr Stoddart, were the ones sitting outside Farley's door.
