Mr Timothy is a non-canonical character created for the Agatha Christie's Marple adaptation By the Pricking of My Thumbs. He is an art expert and friend of Miss Marple. She consults him about the painting which Mrs Lancaster gave to Aunt Ada. He identifies it as one done during the early years of the career of the late William Boscowan. From the detailed notes which the artist kept about his work, Timothy is able to identify the painting as having been done at the village of Farrell St Edmund.

Timothy plays a role similar to Robert, an art dealer in the original novel who identifies the painting and links up Tommy with Mrs Boscowan so that he can ask for more background information about where the painting was done. Here however, because Timothy is able to identify the village as well, there is no need for a visit to Mrs Boscowan. Mrs Boscowan therefore does not occur in this adaptation.

Mr Timothy is portrayed by Patrick Barlow.
