In the novel A Caribbean Mystery, Mr Sanderson and his wife are the previous owners of the Golden Palm Hotel on St Honoré. They sold the hotel to Tim and Molly Kendal, and moved back to England.
The Sandersons do not appear in the various adaptations of the book but are mentioned. In the 2013 ITV adaptation, however, the hotel used to belong to Molly Kendall's parents and not to the Sandersons.
