Mr Reckitt

In the novel Nemesis, Mr Reckitt is a person on duty at Carristown Hospital. Elizabeth Temple was taken to this hospital after being injured by a falling boulder at Jocelyn St. Mary. One of his duties was to sit in the room where Miss Temple lay unconscious. Miss Temple had occasional lucid moments and would speak. Mr Reckitt was to remain unseen behind a screen in one corner of the room to note down anything she said. Mr Reckitt is likely to be a police official. Sister Barker had told Miss Marple that there would be a police official performing such a duty in Elizabeth Temple's room.
