In the short story Wireless, Mr Hopkinson is a solicitor who has for a long time been handling the legal affairs of the wealthy and elderly Mary Harter. After Mary's death, he comes to visit Charles Ridgeway, Mary's nephew. Hopkinson has a surprising piece of news. He does not have Mary's latest will, one which would have made Ridgeway her heir. Mary had asked to see it shortly before her death and he had sent it to her. So what has become of the will?
