Mr Ho is a non-canonical character who was created for the film adaptation of The Lost Mine in Series 3 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot. He is the owner of a tea shop in Chinatown (Ezra Street was used as the film location for this). He was known to the police as an associate of Reginald Dyer. Japp confronted Ho in his teashop and persuaded him to divulge what he knew about Dyer with the veiled threat that the renewal of his business licence would be at stake. Ho told Japp about the "Red Dragon Club" across the street. Besides being a gambling hall, it had a secret opium den in the basement. The door to this was opened by depressing the red eye of the carved dragon motif on a panel.

Earlier in the episode, Dyer had been seen receiving a suitcase from two Chinese men. One of these could also be Mr Ho.

The name Mr Ho does not occur in the credits. Here there is only a listing for "Restaurent Manager" but Japp uses the name "Mr Ho" in the dialogue. Mr Ho is portrayed by Ozzie Yue.
