In the novel Elephants Can Remember, Moya is mentioned by Mrs Matcham. Mrs Matcham was the nanny of Moya, when the latter was a child. When she was a young woman she was presented at court. First she was married to a lord and later to a pop singer. She divorced both of her husbands, and later married a man in California. Moya died two or three years earlier, at the age of sixty-two.
