Tommy and Tuppence were looking up various survivors in search of someone whose Christian name was "Rita", believing that this Rita might be a witness to what happened between Danvers and Jane Finn on the ship. However, Tommy did not think Miss Wheeler was a likely candidate. She was, in any case, employed as a lady's maid and so unlikely to be present at her listed address.
