In the short story The Flock of Geryon, Miss Lee was a member of "The Flock of the Shepherd", a religious sect run by Dr Andersen, also known as "The Great Shepherd". She had made a will leaving her property to the sect. Some time later, she died at home of typhoid, attributed to some salad she had eaten somewhere in the north of England. At that time, no foul play was suspected.
