In the novel The Moving Finger, Miss Ginch is a woman living in Lymstock. She worked as a clerk for the solicitor Richard Symmington but left to work at the property agent's office after receiving an anonymous letter stating that she had an affair with Symmington.

She was described as a middle aged woman with teeth like a rabbit and a pince-nez. She has frizzy hair.

Portrayals[]

In the BBC 1985 adaptation of the novel which formed part of the Miss Marple series, Miss Ginch was played by Ninka Scott and was portrayed as a much younger woman.

In the ITV 2006 adaptation of the novel (Episode 2, Series of Agatha Christie's Marple), Miss Ginch is played Angela Curran. The portrayal is closer to the description in the original novel.
