In the authorised Miss Marple continuation short story The Murdering Sort, Michael Westover is on of the wealthy American tycoon Josiah Westover and the father of Diana. Like other members of the Westover family, Michael had a share of the inheritance and therefore a plausible motive in wanting Josiah Westover dead, but less so compared with some others because he is independently wealthy, having made a fortune on Wall Street.
